Care Instructions
Cutting/Charcuterie Board Care Instructions
1. Before First Use • Wash with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly.
2. Daily Cleaning • Hand wash only — never place in the dishwasher. • Use mild soap and warm water; avoid soaking the board. • Dry immediately with a towel and stand upright to air-dry completely.
3. Sanitizing • Wipe with white vinegar then rinse with warm water and dry fully.
4. Deodorizing & Stain Removal • Sprinkle coarse salt or baking soda on the board. • Scrub using half a lemon, then rinse and dry.
5. Regular Maintenance • Re-oil monthly or anytime the wood looks dry or dull. • Use food-grade mineral oil or wood conditioner (beeswax/mineral-oil blend). • Rub it with a cloth, let it absorb overnight, then wipe off excess.
6. AVOID • Dishwasher use or prolonged water exposure. • High heat or direct sunlight (may cause warping or cracking). • Vegetable oils (they can turn rancid). Proper care keeps your cutting board sanitary, smooth, and long-lasting!
Enjoy your handcrafted board, and thank you for supporting small-batch woodworking!
